All of the Shatter Mentors have volunteered their time to connect with other women and empower them to negotiate and advocate on behalf of growing their careers. The Shatter Mentors are made up of women across industries, roles and bring a wealth of experiences and knowledge that will plant the seeds for future female leaders.

With a track record for driving revenue for both fortune 500 and start-up companies, Cayla brings a strong sales focus to the InvestHER's growing portfolio of scaling businesses.

Erica Rendall

Marketer and business leader with twelve years of consumer package goods and apparel experience with iconic brands such as Capri Sun, Kool-Aid, Oscar Mayer and Jockey. I firmly believe that "how" you work is just as important as "what" you do to deliver results. At home, I am a partner to a great guy, and mom to two awesome kiddos and rescue dog.



Sara sood

Clinical Associate Professor of Computer Science at Northwestern University

Sara is a Clinical Associate Professor of Computer Science at Northwestern University. Prior to joining the faculty at Northwestern in 2014, she was an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Pomona College. Sara completed her PhD at Northwestern University in 2007 and Bachelors in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2002. Sara is eager to help undergraduate/graduate student women in their transition to the tech workforce, in addition to women aspiring to become STEM educators.



Lakshmi Shenoy is the Vice President of Strategy & Business Development at 1871, Chicago's tech entrepreneurship hub. In addition to focusing on strategic growth initiatives at 1871, she works to help corporations and other organizations develop valuable relationships with the 1871 community. Prior to to 1871, Lakshmi worked at Prophet Brand Strategy, Time Inc., Procter & Gamble and Leo Burnett. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Lakshmi is a 2016 Recipient of Chicago Scholars' 35 Under 35 Award. She is also active on the Chicago Scholars Associate Board and Urban Alliance Advisory Council.

Amy Cheronis


Amy was named the Managing Director of MSLGROUP in 2016, merging her award-winning Reputation & Communications Team at Leo Burnett with MSL’s growing corporate, consumer and digital practices in Chicago. Amy is a proven leader, team builder and global communications strategist with more than 20 years of broad experience across leading brands and sectors. 

Outside the office, Amy is part of the Chicago Ideas Week Co-Op, on the Board of volunteer travel organization Unearth the World and the Board Chair for Embarc, a not-for-profit serving Chicago’s most at-risk and deserving high school students.

Colleen Curtis

International Vice President, Yelp 

Colleen is a 9 year veteran at Yelp, having joined the company in its infancy as a Community Manager in Chicago and now serving as the International VP of Marketing & Community. Wearing many hats in startup world allowed her to sharpen skills in recruiting, negotiations, expansion marketing, and remote team management and development. Her passion is people and keying into what creates dynamic bonds between companies and cultures, and the people that comprise both.

Jane is a 24 year veteran of Kraft Foods who began her career in consumer insights and analytics and most recently led the $3.6B Beverages & Snacks business unit overseeing all aspects of supply chain, sales, marketing, human resources and R&D. She was also the functional head for marketing and marketing services, leading over 400 employees to drive the marketing agenda for the company into the next decade.

Amanda is the Chief Executive Officer of The Jellyvision Lab and has been a key figure in driving the company since its founding in 2001. Her focus at Jellyvision is on the company’s strategy, improving processes to better scale operations, partnership development, and customer acquisition to continue fueling the company’s growth. Under Amanda’s leadership, Jellyvision has doubled its revenue three out of the last four years.

Jennifer Lannolo

Jennifer combines the Pecorino-salty sass and pepper-grinder curves of Sophia Loren with the boots, cuffs, and universe-rocking crash! bang! pow! of Wonder Woman. On any given day, she might be jetting across the International Dateline to remind teenage girls that they do, in fact, run the world, or whiteboarding and game-changing in a hastily crafted updo, somewhere in a closely guarded back room at the UN.

Denise has spent her entire career at Leo Burnett, first as a researcher, and then becoming a planner. She's worked on a wide variety of accounts including McDonald's, Hallmark, Coca-cola, Pfizer, UnitedHealthcare and several years as the global FemCare Strategist for P&G (Always/Whisper, Tampax, Discreet).

Denise co-founded LeoShe- Leo Burnett's in-house experts on marketing to women. Also drive IP projects for the agency, most recently on Big Food, and on Nudging people to better health.
